Fifi's 19th Birthday Celebration.
On Friday, we headed down to Fifi’s place after school to celebrate her belated birthday. Personally, I was so excited that I couldn’t really stay focus in class and having Proteomics module didn’t help at all. Another reason why I couldn’t keep my focus was because…let me side track for a little bit.
Friday (7th May 2010) : The day of Super Junior’s 4th album teaser release. The teaser was scheduled to be uploaded at 11am. I had lab lessons in the morning, it was impossible to be youtubing while doing experiment. But nevertheless, Angela (a classmate who is Kpop frenzy also) and I spared at least one minute to watch the teaser- without volume. The 4th album is Super Junior’s comeback onto the Kpop scene since their hit single Sorry Sorry back in 2009 which took Asia by storm. This is the teaser (what to expect) from their new song from the new album. This one is called “Beauty”. Concept-wise, ain’t to sure. But it is definetly something different from tuxedo clad combo they wore for Sorry Sorry’s promotions. But still, gaga ohh lala. Totally adore the one at 0.03 and the 0.15.
Back to the birthday celebration. Ordered Saprino’s pizza and bought a cute cake from Four Leaves. The cake, I think, is too pretty to eat. But it was yummylicious though. Headed to fifi’s house without informing her of our presence but we managed to call her home to inform her sister about our arrival. We couldn’t possibly gate crash, so yeah. It was a surprise for her. Sang her a birthday song in Korean but our first attempt didn’t exactly go according to plan. We screwed up. Ahhaahhaaha. Watched Spongebob and had pizza at her place. After which, headed back to my place for chillaxing session and opening of presents. EXCITEDNESS!
First present, a handphone accessories. One side it says “Park Pi Jah” in pink while on the flipside it was “I <3>
Next, it was the SJ poster- with the members signature on it. ^^.
Following which, Britney Spear's Fantasy perfume.
Last but not least, the most anticipated present: Super Junior Calendar.
This is the 3rd SJ related present, but hands down, the best!
The story goes like this.
Each of us were to choose a member who will appear on our birth months.
Didi chose Ryewook for January
As for Fifi who likes Kibum- was allocated for April.
Seri chose Sungmin for June.
I sticked to Siwon for October. As much as I wanted Heecul for Oct, HC is more of Sept.
Since Nisa is the 'chong' of SIA, Leetuek, the leader of SJ, was chosen for November.
Last but not least, Yaya chose Donghae for August.
Khuhyun is the youngest in SJ, December that is.
Eunhyuk was set for July.
The rest of the members- Yesung, Kangin and Shindong was randomise with the leftover months.
I think Yaya did a beyond awesome job in the photo edits for the calendar. If we were to sell the calendar, I think we could make goood buckeroos. Kening go up up and away ^ ^.
I told the girls about the funny yet ridiculous dream I had back then when I was looking for nice pictures of Heecul. Background info: Heecul is a lil zerk, no- alot, and most of his pictures were zerk as well. It was quite tough to find a nice picture of him. Sampaikan terbawak-bawak ke mimpi. Haahhaaa! It was one dream that is still vivid in my mind and I won't forget about it anytime soon.
Did I mention that the calendar is for 2011? :)
At my house, we came out with Korean names for each other. Since Fifi’s was Park Pi Jah, we decided to stick to the surname “Park”, which was a common Korean surname apart from Kim.
Hafizah (Fifi): Park Pi Jah
Siti Khairunnisa: Park Kai Seh
Seri: Park Seh Ri
Nadirah: Park Na Rah
Nadiah (Didi): Park Di Yah
Nadiah (Yaya): Park Yah aka Park Cho Yah aka Park Na Yah
It was super duper funny coming out with these monikers. Thank god we didn’t settle for West Coast Park, East Coast Park, Choa Chu Kang Park, Labdrador Park, Limbang Park, Admirilty Park. Aaahhaahh.
Didi was the master mind for coming up with Yaya’s ridiculous names. It was first Park Yah, which sounded like “Pak Yah” (uncle Yah in malay). Yaya was not happy and insisted that Korean names should have at least 3 syallabus and thought of Cho as a surname because her favourite SJ member is Cho Khuhyun. Instantly, Didi and Seri came out with Park Cho Yah, which was equally ridiculous as compared to Park Yah. Who has a name with two surnames?! AHhaahhaahhaa!! I had a gooood laugh at the names!
When this picture was about to be taken, it was totally epic. We all had individual shots with the birthday girl. This was Yaya's shot. She went, "Fi, I nak saranghae dengan you". We all burst out laughing becuase the way she said it was super adorable. That's so typical of Yaya.
I had a wonderful Friday.
