It’s been awhile since I came up with a pictorial post. So, here’s one.

If I were in W55F still, I would not have met this wonderful people.

On Monday, we celebrated Vicnes’ 18th Birthday. I think it’s a belated birthday- oh well I’m not sure of it either. But this is the first birthday we celebrated in W56F. Speaking of new found friendship and enthusiasm yeah? It was sweet of us to chip in a few dollars to get him a cake.

I hate the fact that I'm preoccupied for the weekends.
And the following week will be jam packed as well.
So little time, So much to do.
Cheh!! Rrrllll!!!

My favourite out of this 3 is The Bachelorette Party. An absolute enjoyable piece. Now that school's in, perhaps I would not read as much as I used to during the holidays. But still, I just borrowed a few more LBD books. Simply irresistable can.

The Bachelorette Party

Jilted at the alter by her soap-star fiancé, and completely sick of love and romance, Zadie Roberts has slowly been recovering in LA. The only person she can rely on to cheer her up is her lovely male best friend Grey. So Zadie is appalled when she discovers that Grey has proposed to her straight-laced cousin Helen, meaning it is Zadie who has to organise the incredibly boring hen night.
And it turns out to be just as mind-numbing as she feared. How can such a prissy girl be marrying such a great guy? But then, as the cocktails go down, the secrets come out, and the night takes a hell of a turn - this is one bachelorette party not to be forgotten…

Accidental Virgin
'You’re almost a virgin again’; When Stacy Hamilton’s best friend points out how long it’s been since Stacy broke up with her last boyfriend she can’t believe it. In college, a dry month had seemed unbearable. So what’s happened? You’d think her job at Thongs.com concocting sexy lingerie would get her in the mood. But the guys she’s been dating recently aren’t exactly enticing. Stacy decides drastic action is required. It’s time to widen her search for the ideal man…

I Take This Man

What happens when you ‘do’ but he don’t?

When Jersey Girl Penny Bracket is left standing at the alter by fiancé Bram Shriaz she doesn’t quite know how to react. Her mother, Ester, on the other hand knows exactly what to do – track Bram down, knock him unconscious with a bottle of Dom Perignon and imprison him in the attic of her mansion.
Now this may seem a tad extreme. But Ester’s got some serious questions for the fugitive groom…plus she needs someone to write all the return labels for the wedding gifts. But can she find out why Bram got cold feet before everyone else discovers what she’s done?
**************************
Long weekend ahead.
I'm so not looking forward to it.
Whyah, Why ah?
Anyways.
The weather been's a bitch.
If only we can swallow sunscreen instead of applying them.
That will do some justice.

Exactly one year ago, I posted my first blog post.
365 days later, here comes the 253th.
What the hell was I thinking when I decided that I want to have a blog?
It's been a year since I blogged.
Just looking at the archives, it made me realise what fun times I had over the year.
And not forgetting, how much money I (or rather we) have spent during Girl's Day Out and Amaciam days.
I still wonder what's up with the name strawberry liploss.
Come to think of it, do I really enjoy blogging.
I have no idea.

The drama that happened on Monday was enough to last me till the end of the year. In just one day, it left me mentally and physically tired. When you aren’t feeling the best, comfort food seems to be the best solution.

But with the company of undeniably sweet girlfriends who are willing to take a bus ride even though the destination was one stop away, it was enough to make me feel better. And oh, not forgetting 3 regular Ice Blended Belgian Chocolate, on the house. Then it was like 2 hours just chilling at KFC. Since there will not be any school on Wednesday, we have to make plans. Making plans was tough especially when we get distracted with hardcore girl talk just as soon as one of us asked “So, besok nak pegi mane?”

Wednesday, the official no-school day. Food, food and more food. We spent a lot on them.
Chicken wings and nuggets. Those were considered appetisers.
Then there was Ramen Ten. Small little plates of pretty little sushi looked so appealing on a conveyer belt. Just take whatever that looks good. A simple theory: if it looks good, it might slash will taste good.

Following that, we bought Tako balls and ate them on steps. Feeling ala homeless with ni arah tujuan. LOL. Pathetification to the max.

Next, the arcade. Who the hell would have thought we spent a couple of dollars in a place that (idk) young boys would frequent to. But it was such an exciting experience for I went behind the wheels and had a race. Just crashing into pillars and curbs make me wonder what kind of driver I would become. And then there was this shooting game, the basketball hoop shooting game and the very cute ‘hit the mark’ game. We are required to throw soft balls onto the screen to hit the targets in order to get points. All three of us got so psyched that we gave our best shot. Speaking of enthusiasm yeah? That game itself causes our arm to feel weak. Haixx.

After the much adrenaline rush, headed to makan again. This time it was Double Chocolate Chip cookies and a very very appetizing sandwich. Sedap to the max can. Let’s get some more, some more.

It was indeed a good day. But bear this in mind yeah: We cannot possibly have weekly treats like this. Pocket later koyak sehh…

TO NISA: I know you’re reading this. Don’t sad sad is you okay? We is here to cheer you up . And even though you is very very distracted with you-know-we-know who, assignments must complete okays. Make sure you complete your write up about the 20 million dollars sport complex by Friday okay hun?

Gossip Girl has it that it’s Dress Day tomorrow. Yeah us!

Bad Day - Daniel Powter

My Chemical Romance had a 'Black Parade'
Nadeerah had a "Black Monday'

Just when I thought my first day of school will a pleasant experience. I had hoped for a drama-free day but what I got was total opposite. What happened today was a total disaster. My Monday was not even blue, it was black. The day’s even turned out wrong, so wrong. Things that was uncalled for happened as soon as I stepped into the class. Not any class for the matter of fact. It’s the wrong class!

Out of major blur-ness, I went into W55F instead of W56F. I was actually happy that I was early on the first day of school, so the first thing that I did was on the laptop, connect to the school portal, download the assignments, logged on MSN, chatted with Nisa and Yaya and even gave a plastic smile to a classmate. At that point of time, I knew everything was good. But then when the facilitator began rambling on about Chemisty, I sensed something was wrong because my assignments were about Microbiology. I though she will go into Microbiology soon after she’s done talking about Chemistry. Then my ex classmates came into the class and we practically talked with our facial expression. At that point of time, I understood Rozzy’s “You shouldn’t be here look”. The stupid question for the day was “What class is this?” and she replied “W55F”. Right, so I spent like more than 20 minutes in the wrong class and even made small chat to the wrong classmates. Wth. I’ve got eyes staring at me when I made my way out of the class. I was so embarrassed, I was on the verge of tearing up.

And when I was pouring my heart out to people online, instead of sympathizing, I got a ‘Dumb blonde’. Thanks ah, thanks ahhhhh…. It is alright if I’m in year one, making this silly mistake. But in year two, it just sounded so stupid.

So yeah, I’ve got eyes staring at me when I made my entrance to W56F at 9.35 am. That’s not all. The lesson was alright but then when I was about to leave for breakout, there is was a blood stain on the chair. But it wasn’t mine, I wasn’t even having my period. I didn’t even realize it was there before sitting. I guess I was already nervous. What the hell was I thinking?!

And oh, to add on to the list of bad things that had happened, my classmate carries the same bag as me except for it’s a different colour. My bad day didn’t end there. Crowded food court and shorter break times did not do any justice. Bumping into a colleague was as unpleasant as getting into the wrong class.

Lesson was interesting, luckily. If not I might just have my first partial for Year 2.
When I got home, I told mum all about what had happened and instead of sympathizing, I’ve got a “Your brain is rusty. It needs lubricant.” Thanks ahh……..

I hope tomorrow will be a better day. Oh wait, how can it be a better day when the module is Chemistry? The possibility of having a better day tomorrow is NIL.

Class ended ridiculously early so I decided to head to Paragon’s Coffee Bean. Free Pure Double Chocolate Ice Blended was delicious enough to put a smile on my face.

Thanks Yaya for putting up with my drama and ramblings for the whole day. Thanks so for singing Daniel Powter’s “Bad Day’ with me. Appreciate it lots. And not only I had a bad day. Nisa and Yaya had their fair share of a bad day. No text/calls from bf on first day of school and journey to Paragon to submit the wrong thing is just enough to make all of us sad.

By the way, I have a classmate that looks like Anoop Desai. LOL!!!!

And thank you for reading. You’ve been such a sweetheart for taking the time and effort to read my “BLACK MONDAY”.

I've managed to pack all the school stuffs for tomorrow but yet there seems to be something missing in the bag. I wonder what is it man.

Last year, on the first day of school, I was late. I reached school at 10 am when I'm supposed to be in class by 9am. Well, I'm not to be blamed because someone decided to jump down the MRT track on that particular Monday morning- 7th April 2008. As of tomorrow, no such nonsense please.

Good luck to you.
Good luck to me.
Ok bye.
I'm reluctant to end this post but the thought of school makes me feel the lack of insipartion to carry on.
In less than 12 hours, I will be in a confined space, maybe doing some ice breakers with more than 20 strangers.
A gentle reminder to myself: Do not, I repeat, do not ask my new classmates what course they are in because if they are there, in the same class as me, they are in the same course as me. Previously, 'So you're in what course?' are like the most common ice breakers questions asked apart from "What's your name?" and "How old are you?".

This week was an expensive one. Too much cash spent already. “Explore the East Side”, “Girls’ Day Out” and “With Mum, With Love Day” were to be blamed. The sight of all the receipts and Nets payments invoices are enough to make me cringe cringe cringe.

Must Watch Will Watch: WATCHED.

I cannot believe that I’m going to say this or even post it up here. But Zac Efron is as hot (if not hotter) than the last time I saw him onscreen playing Troy Bolton. Totally adore the black jeans, black jacket and black aviators combo. He rocked that whole look so effortlessly with his signature bangin’ bangs. But why ah when then Zac there’s sure to be basketball? Why ah? The court room scene was touching indeed. Touching enough to make me tear a lil.

If I were 17 again, I would love to have have a chance to amend a few things but the friends that I have remains as it is because they irreplaceable. But what the hell right, I am only 17 for like 6 months, what could possibly have gone wrong.

So I’m done for a movie in April. For May I’m not so sure what’s in store but at least for June it shall be “Hannah Montana: The Movie”. Don’t ask me why.

Just a few minutes ago (as I’m typing my rants above), I’ve got a text from Yaya.

Yaya: NAD! I SAW UR BRO..Hahkz..N I took his order..N he say, my sis works here, is she working today? Particle!! Ur own sis u don’t know..Hahkz..

Nad: Hahaha..He is dunnoe I went shopping with my mum..if not he mengamok..hahah..pardigal is he.

Yaya: U know..he reminds me of adam lambert..Don’t know why..

Nad: Now who is more pardigal?? U or him? U crack me up to the max can!!

Yaya: Seerious….U is just cant c e adam in him.

OMG LAH!! FAINTS AND NEVER WAKE UP AGAIN!!! Of coz I cannot see any Adam in him. The fact is that there isn’t any Adam. Just the thought of my brother looking like Adam is cheesy enough to make me want to puke and be sick. So sick that I don’t think I’m able to make it to school on Monday.

For the record, Nizam does not have straight bangs or sexy grayish eyes. I’m sure (preety sure) he doesn’t sound like Adam Lambert. Looks and talent aside, i don;t even think he has a similar aura as of the potential Idol. I bet my parents are going to have one hell'va good laugh when I tell them about this.

Have you ever experienced the urge to shop, so much so that you cannot wait for the actual planned day? Today was that day.

Oh well, if there was a name for it, it will be called “Explore the East Side Day”. Mega John Little Sale (that’s what they called it) at Expo was the first pit stop. Slippers from NUM, shoes from Charles and Keith and cosmetics shared a simple philosophy- that their prices are slashed beyond slashed (I don’t think there’s such a term, I made it up myself)

The ultimate steal for the day: Pierre Cardin’s undergarments. As compared to the actual retail price, it’s considered cheap. Too cheap perhaps.

The second pit stop was Tampines 1 (what a name -.-) Like want to copy JP 1 and JP2, no originality lah. Moving on..

UNIQLO is one of the beyond awesome retail stores. So awesome that I think it’s a blessing from above. New store + opening celebration = Marked down prices. How can I say no? Cool items up for grab.

Total damage done today was a little over one hundred and fifty but with no regrets. No regrets. No regrets. No regrets. I’m not saying that it's a good thing neither am I saying it's a bad thing.
No regrets even though going to the East side was like a journey to Antarctica.

Indeed today was a fulfilling slash rewarding slash great day. So fulfilling slash rewarding slash great day that I called up my manager and told her I won’t be able to make it 2mrw for my morning duty. Reason, I’m sick. That’s not totally a lie. I’m feeling feverish right now.

Side track: One should feel all geared up for school after all (if not most) of the things have been bought right? But why am I not feeling it? All right, shall see how it goes.

Btw, the ever so sizzling Mr Ed Westwick was featured in this month seventeen magazine. The interview is silly enough to put a plastic smile on my face. Here’s one.

Question: Chuck is such a womanizer. Are you as bold with girls in real life?

EW: No, I’m quite shy. Every time I go out, I see girls who I could actually see myself falling in love with. But I don’t do anything about it, you know? I play it quite.

No Ed, I don’t know.

And his answer to the question “So what’s the most Chuck Bass-like thing you’ve ever done in real life?”

Trust me on this, his answer is soo not Chuck Bass-like, at all.

“He’s the guy you’re supposed to avoid on Gossip Girl- so why can’t you resist him??!?”

Till then.
xoxo.

Yet another “I’ve got my eyes set on you” moment.
Care to guess what is it?

Here are some clues.

1. It’s definitely sexier than Chuck Bass. Hands down.
2. It’s so much faster than Cristiano Ronaldo. Of course.
3. It’s more of an eye candy as compared to Adam Lambert.
4. It has distinctive curves as compared to Kim Kardashian and Jennifer Lopez combined.
5. It is more pink than the already bubblegum pink image of Kathy Perry.

Any wild guesses?

It's the Ford Fiesta!! Hotness to the max.

But before this goes onto the to-buy list in the future, I was just thinking about the coulda shoulda woulda. Then there will be the ‘What Ifs” to top it off. Just the thought of going behind the wheels is enough to make my stomach flip. This is definitely a girls’ ride because of the pink (or rather, magenta) but I think I’m more of a shiny black SUV which seems to give me a sense of security because to me, it looks (idk) secure? Haha. SUVs are so posh. I likee.

Before I cringe at the sight of the price tag, I think it’s wise to stick with chauffeured rides. Till then, I’ll snap back to reality and get things that need to be done, done. What I’m trying to say is that 20 April will come knocking soon and shopping-for-school has yet to be done. As compared to the Ford Fiesta, at least I can afford what I need to get on my list currently. Shopping-for-school is not an indulgence. IT’S A NESSECITY AND AN INVESTMENT. You can ask most girls and they would have agreed with me.

17 Again : Must Watch Will Watch. I’ll make it a point to get good seats so that I can watch clearly how Zac Efron can be Matthew Perry in his younger days. Got resemblances is it?

I cannot wait for Harper's Island that will be on in less than an hour.
S Factor got bad bad reviews. Sad, don't you think so? But I couldn't agree more with the critiques.

Why the hell am I rambling?! It’s like I’ve got nothing better to do. Which is not true of course. I have to clean up my closet so that I can find things that need to be found, for example, where the hell is my laptop casing!!?!

I cannot wait for Thursday. Come fast. Come fast.

The Not-So-Perfect Man

As far as her family and friends are concerned, Frieda Schast has been the grieving widow long enough. At thirty-five she’s still young and attractive, and her son could certainly do with a father figure in his life. But when Frieda starts falling for Sam Hill, he’s not their idea of the ultimate catch. Sam is young, talented and incredibly sexy – although broke, sporadically employed and clueless about kids. Does Frieda really need the ‘perfect man’ or the far-from-ideal man who’s perfect for her?

She Woke up Married

Paris James totally expected to wake up in Vegas with a hangover after her thirtieth birthday. Waking up married to Elvis, however, was most definitely not part of the plan. The King (A.K.A Turner Pruitt – Elvis Impersonator and old school friend of Paris’s) thinks that it’s fate they’ve hooked up and got hitched after all these years. Paris thinks it’s a big mistake – no matter how much of a hottie Turner’s become. But then she’s been running away from everything for years. Perhaps it’s time to finally let someone love her tender...

The whole week just zoomed by. Geez.

Saturday was well spent at home, helping the mother in the kitchen. Helping is not really the correct adjective to use because my skill in that particular place in the house is inexistent. Then the cousins came over for a play date, which was never a bore. They stayed till late and Saturday ended with a car ride from Choa Chu Kang to Boon Lay and back.

Sunday morning, I was having difficulties waking up despite the fact that I was scheduled at 10. The mother, the brother and the cousins had made plans to go swimming the night before and all was jolly set to go, leaving me to face weekend crowd at work. They left without me. Sadism to the max. BY the time I got back, all I heard was wonderful stories about the wave pool, lazy pool, Sarah’s head submerged under water and yadah yadah yadah. Not only that, there were lots of tidbits brought back from their adventure. Read after me, J-E-A-L-O-U-S.

Mum made up for leaving me out with a family dinner at Bali Thai. The mother, father, brother, his girlfriend, the aunty, uncle, cousins and even the grandmother were there. I felt perked up just being with the people who loves you as much as you love them, but the tom yam played a major role in the perking up process.

Speaking of family, this is a lesson that I’ve learnt from watching ‘Four Christmases’.
“You can’t spell families without lies”.

The way I see it, families will be incomplete without lies. Or lies are always incorporated within a family. Pelik tapi benar,I suppose.

“The person you fight with the most is the one who’s exactly like you”.

Erk? Really?

Family, they’re great. It’s even better when there are kids in them. When the mother asked the ten year old a question, she never answers with an answer. It’s a case of tanye satu, jawab sepuluh. Yeap, this happens in my family.

Mum: “Nizam dah bangun ke belom?”
Shikin: “Belom. Dia masih tido. Coma tak ajaknye.”

I agree totally, kids say the darnedest things!

How I wish everyday could be as rewarding.

Mental note : I cannot wait for the long weekends. School resuming in 14.
