A great Sunday with the family: Checked.

Since the dad has to work and the brother is not up yet at 1pm, the mother decided to ring up the Aunty and cousins for lunch at Jurong Point, yet again. There’s something about Jurong Point that had the mummy anticipating much, perhaps it’s the FairPrice Extra. Anyway, since we were kind of jaded with Banquet, we decided to head to Pizza Hut for a filling lunch. Since the mum was paying, I cannot say no.

Then there was the groceries shopping. All I had to do was to push the trolley with Sarah in it while the mum and the aunty filled it in with daily necessities. Since mum was paying, I took advantage of it and slid a pint of B&J’s chocolate chip cookie dough inside the trolley. These are just some of the things I would love to buy and enjoy, but when it comes to paying for it, I think like more than twice since the money is coming from your own purse. But since it was “Mum’s Treat Day”, I could not say no yet again.

Monday’s gone. And this week, I feel like I’m free as a bird because I’m scheduled for Wednesday and Sunday to work. Do the math, which leaves me Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday to do the things I would normally do at home and pray that I don’t get bored. Or maybe a wiser choice is to make plans. We shall see how the week will go about.

21 more days till Year 2. Erkk.

I could not really concentrate at work today because I was looking at the clock every now and then, checking if 6pm is drawing dear for I had a movie date with the girls. It’s like my manager can read my mind, I was told to clock out at 5pm instead of 6pm as there were many afternoon staffs on duty. That leaves me with a little bit more time to head over to Cineleisure to meet Seri and Yaya and also to have our very early dinner over at Long John Silver.

Must-Watch-Will-Watch: WATCHED.

It was full house in the cinema, do I have to tell you why?

As chick flick as it seems, it actually taught me some valuable lessons. Some people are blessed with dollars but it will be better if they are equipped with some sense to manage their dollars right? Because after all, dollars and cents go hand in hand. Understand, no?

Moving on, let’s draw up a comparison between Rebecca Bloomwood and myself. We both love/enjoy shopping. That’s basically the similarities. The differences is that she has like what more than 10 credit cards in her purse whereas the cards in my purse ranges from the very important identification card, student and adult EZ link, the ATM card, Chicky Club card and mummy’s Banquet card. Laugh Out Loud. And at least Rebecca knows her cashmere from her chiffon whereas I’m more comfortable and pretty much happy with cotton. Rebecca freaks out just by taking a look at her credit card bills while I’ve had heartache whenever I see the balance after each withdrawal from the ATM or whenever I purchase using Nets.

Yet another lesson that I’ve learnt, when your life feels like crap (like when you are facing huge debts thanks to your shopaholic habits), you must tell yourself to take it easy. Take it easy BUT still take it.

But most, no I am sure all the girls would love a closet like Rebecca even though it is too colourful and too picture perfect to be true. Oh well, I think Sacha Baron Cohen a.k.a Borat other half did a pretty amazing job as Rebecaa Bloomwood. Eh, I really wonder how Paris Hilton’s closet will look like.

Bottom line: Live within your means.

Have any idea why I’m rambling way too much? That is because I’m waiting for my hair to dry before I can hit the bed and drown myself under my comforters. But before that, there is a half packet of popcorn staring right at me and I’m wondering what to do with them.

One movie in every month, I’m working hard on that. Promise.

ALAMAK in caps, why is Chuck Bass like no longer handsome and sexy in the new episodes of GG ah? Like there's something missing or something is different. Dah macam takde feel gitu. The gel-ed hair maybe? Or the whole tailored suit and bow tie combo? Errkkk.*SHAKES HEAD IN DISAPPOINTMENT* But Nathaniel Arcibald is looking gooood and delicious. Kening go up up at Mrs Archibald.

Today is already the 23 March. The speed at which time's passing is pure madness. I can hardly catch my breath. I’m glad to be home and not at work. Seems like forever that I was gone.
The date has it that school will resume in less than a month’s time. There is mixed of feelings. Somehow or rather, I’m not really embracing the fact that a new semester is about to begin but I’m just more than a little crazy to miss school. Oh my god, I’m not all psyched about it and definitely not all up for a new class or new classmates. Despite that, it cannot be that bad right?

Speaking of new classmates, I managed to look up mine.
Yaya asked me this “Dah check out ur classmates?” and
I replied “Dah. Ok lah, masih under category manusia.”
Since it’s already the 23th, *do the math*, it will be 3 more days until Confessions of a Shopaholic. Oh dear, yet another Must-watch Will-watch scenario. You cannot blame me for I haven’t set foot in the cinema since March began.
The monthly discomfort has come yet again. Good ol’ Cadbury will help sooth it for it releases the feel good hormones- better known as endorphins. Now I’m going to curl up in bed while reading “She woke up married" or a rather soothing alternative is to take an afternoon nap even though it's like 4.45pm now. Lol.

Wednesday and Thursday were well spent with the little ones at their home. It’s been awhile since last spent the night there but overall, it was worthwhile as I get to enjoy their company during their March holidays.
Indoor game of badminton was silly because the shuttle cock kept hitting the ceiling so we decided to head downstairs for a game of badminton that leaves us tired and sweaty. Then at night, the elder one decided to watch videos on youtube. Choice of video: This is Me by Demi Lavato. They sang along to the lyrics and I was really surprised that Sarah actually knows most the lines of that song. We’ve got Camp Rock to blame.

The next morning was spent watching hours of Okto before heading to Jurong Point and Town. Speaking of Okto, I have never actually been engrossed in the programmes ever since they changed it from Kids Central. I even managed to watch an episode of Singaprore’s-cannot-make-it version of High School Musical- School House Rocks. Watching kids shows seem a little odd but at the same time it’s really comforting for it bring back good memories about growing up watching Disney, which I still do. I simply adore the Disney Princesses and till date I used to own the fairytales cartoon but now it’s all passed on to the cousins. Oh what a joy when you are able to watch cartoon after you are done with the ABC’s and 123’s. The good old days.

I thinks kids these days seems to be missing alot of good shows. None of the many other can beat Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.

From Walt Disney classics to Hannah Montana.
From Spice Girls to Pussycat Dolls.
I miss the 90's.

*******
Must buy-will-buy scenario : BOUGHT!

Mum was awesome enough to pay more that 95 % of the price which technically means that I haven’t actually had any splurge since payday which means that I still need to get something tangible from my hard earn money so that I will feel, at least, proud of myself.

The presence of certain people in your life is such a blessing, I couldn’t agree more. The more you spend time with them, the more you feel like the world belongs to your clique.

Simply said,
If we were you, we wished we were us.

Girls’ day out on Monday was a great one, enough said. From the company to the time spent together and to the small talks we had, I am very happy I invested my time on you girls.
It was my first time to Marina Barrage and I must say the place is very spacious and the view is bee-a-you-tee-full. So bee-a-you-tee-full for a picnic right?
Home prepared sandwiches, cold drinks and snacks/chocolates and a shady area-perfectification. Talked about many things- from Gossip Girl to America’s Next Top Model to the up and coming casino to Mr. Lee Kuan Yew and even religion was instilled to the whole conversation. How ironic of us. We wanted to take pictures of the scenery but I guess the weather does not permit, or maybe it was even jealous of the fun we are having. LOL.

Despite the drizzle, someone had the ultra superb idea of heading to Marina Square/City Link Mall to do what we do best. But before that we turned into silly nine year olds at the fountain area. It left us with damp clothes and wet knickers. However, the walk from the exit of Marina Barrage to the shuttle bus area was super funny. Five girls under one small umbrella trotting together, *shakes head*.

Apart from a ‘Picnic Day’, it was also a ‘Buy Shoes at Charles and Keith Day’. Nisa got her heels and Seri bought a sleek black sandals. Pre-taye. And I had my eyes on this particular bag at Charles and Keith too since last weekend.
I don’t care. It’s a must-buy will-buy scenario. I don’t care. The only thing that I care about is whether to choose a brown one or a black one? Brown or Black? Black or Brown? For I like them both. And there is this heels that I like. But wait for sale is I. But as for that day, I bought a hot pink Blairness hairband in replacement of my broken black one.
Itching for Seoul Garden and I got it. Yeah me!

Saturday, come quick.
Runs to F,D,M,B,D,S,W then.
:)
Happisim.

But for now, I need to nurse an aching backache.
But before that, I'll be spending the day/night at Sarah's house.

Remember the days when you are being rewarded with Barbie dolls when you did well in an examination or even or when you turn a year older? The happiness and thrill you feel as you and mummy shopped at departmental stores in the kids department, just grabbing the set that caught your eye.

The seven year old me used to have a vast collection of the plastic dolls. That was before mummy decided to throw all of them because she thought somehow or rather, they were creepy. What a waste right.

Anyways, rambling about the past is not the whole purpose. The purpose is ....

Gossip Girl has it that pay day is just days away. The same feeling (excitement and happiness) I'm feeling right now is similar to what I felt back then about receiving Barbies. The only significant difference is that Barbies no longer appeal to me as they did during the time when dinosaurs roamed the world. Doing the math, I wonder how many Barbies can I get with the pay I'm receiving. Perhaps not only Barbies, maybe I could even get Ken and the baby version of the dolls.

The question now is : Save or Splurge?
The answer: For me to know and it doesn't matter to you anyway.

Getting a paycheck, thats when I rule the world.
Oh, the feeling of ruling the world. I like. :)

Once again, I'm so proud that I managed to complete the three LBD books I borrowed weeks ago. Having said that, I at least deserve a pat on my shoulder for making the effort to read.

Smart Vs Pretty

From the author of I TAKE THIS MAN comes another quirky, funny romance about sisters, family, love-lives, all set against a great Manhattan coffee-drinking background.Francesca and Amanda are in trouble.
When they took over their parents' coffee bar in Brooklyn Heights, they thought they'd have a business for life. Now, they've managed to run it into the ground, and emergency action is required.
Clever, thoughtful Francesca thinks that brainpower is the key to starting over, whereas Amanda firmly believes that a sweet smile and great hair get one a lot further in life. Who is right?

Memoirs are Made of This

How to get ahead in journalism:
1. Take a job as a PA to a glamorous writer, like Susanna Hyde, author of the wildly popular sex column Nothing to Hyde
2. Spend your days running errands, and delivering ‘you’ve been dumped’ messages to ex-lovers who are yesterday’s news. Realise life in Manhattan is not as glamorous as you expected
3. But when the boss asks you to cover her column, do not, repeat not, prove to be better at writing about sex than she is…
4. And when one day you accidentally hit it off a little too well with Susanna’s latest ex-toy-boy, sexy writer Josh O’Connell, keep this information very secret from her…

Lost for Words

Sweet natured Daisy, assistant at a publishing house, has two wishes. One, to discover the ‘next big thing’ – a hidden literary gem in the slush pile – and two, for her philandering boyfriend Miles finally to commit.
Life starts looking up when Elliot Thornton comes into her work and Daisy quickly forms a close friendship with him. But she’d never want to leave Miles, would she? Then, one day at work, she starts reading the intriguing first pages of a novel and is spellbound. But somehow there’s something very familiar about the heroine and her story…
It’s fantastic to be in love – it just helps when you know who with.

Next week will be more eventful than this week.
I think. I hope.

Like all the days that we have spent together, Saturday was neither dress day nor shopping day. However, that Saturday was 'lantak-sampai-kenyang' day. I don't know what you call a meal at 3pm, it's not lunch I suppose. Anyways, we had Swenson's first.

First and foremost, Plaza Singapura.
Danceworks 2009 was on and there's no way I'm gonna miss my girl's performance. Oh well, I thought they did great (no biasness intended) and looked great with their hot pink-white-black combo. The place was a lil' crowded which means there's a lot of people which means we can people watch.

Based on what we observed, there are quite a few number of gay guys around. And they are so sexy (can't lie about that) that they put girls like us to shame with their fashion sense and smitteness towards their own kind. Just looking at that made me realise what kind of generation we're heading towards. *shakes head in dismay* One particular gay was, in my opinion, was actually good looking with sharp features. Oh what a waste to God's creation.

Since we haven't celebrate Didi's 18th since January, we decided to do it there and then. Since Seri was busy to come to the celebration, we bring the celebration to her. Bought yummylicious brownies in replacement of a cake and a pink Nike jacket which she've been eyeing on as a present.

Nad: Preetaye.

And then she went: awak nak gambar? buat kenagan? tarok dalam frame and think of me. Nak?

Nad: Nak Nak. Then i is crop your friend's face.

Seri: Then put inside wallet k, everyday see me.

Alamak, syg if put ur face, ronaldo face want to put where????

In the evening, we decided to chillax at some place with air con, thanks to the long walk from Dhobby Ghaut to Orchard and settled for Coffee Bean at Paragon. Of all the CBTL outlets available here in Singapore, Paragon was the choice. LOL.

Didi: What does it feel like being served?
Definetly better than serving.

Of course.

Work's kinda draining my energy. Till then, I'll update whenever time permits. If there is one thing I miss right now, it will be watching Gossip Girl. booo.

And I doubt this weekend will be kick ass as last week.

Spent another day off just lazing at home watching movies online.

First up was Beverly Hills Chihuahua then onto Vicky Christina Barcelona and lastly was Slumdog Millionaire.

I must say that Slumdog Millionaire is a great movie and somehow it's kinda eye opener, to know what it's like living on the other side of the world. Thus, the grass is not always greener on the other side. Anyhooties, what's puzzling me is that how the kids grew up knowing how to speak English fluently. Anyhooties again, I've got a favourite one in this movie.

Everybody scream 'Cuteness'.

That's my lil charmer. *big smile*

I spy I spy with my lil' eyes that he will grow up becoming one hell'va good looking actor(if he becomes an actor lah). If not, he'll still be a handsome man.

Already the 3rd month of the year? Geez.
Fast or Fast?

It’s been days since I ditched this thing, my bad.
Let’s take it back to a week ago shall we? I was practically laughing all by myself infront of the laptop when Nisa sent me our picnic pictures which are all candid and ‘sungguh tak perlu’. However, it feels good to have your guards down for a moment and have absolute fun in the sun (though it can leave you tired and sweaty).

If only we can swallow sunscreen yeah?

***************
Spent the Friday with Munirah and Atiqah, cathching up on each other's life.
I simply adore every single bit of juicy gossips we shared.
*kening go up up and away*
Keep your lips sealed okay darla.
One of the interesting facts that we shared was that Faeeqah looks a lil like Jennifer Aniston.
I think they have similar lips.
I hope to hear the pending updates about our March gathering okays?
***************

The weather these days have been nothing but wet, so wet that it makes me want to pull up the comforter, shut the lights, sleep and not be in the place I'm supposed to be.

****************
Work's been okay so far. The great thing is that we get to eat the muffins/cookies during breaks. And not forgetting, the over-priced pasta and breakfast sets which we get to consume for free during lunch. Speaking of breakfast sets, I'm beginning to like the taste of toasted pannini bread.
****************

The only thing I look for this week it the end of it.Saturday, please come fast. I want to see my babies. *if I get the day off* And I have to be there because it'll be one fantastic day for someone.
***************
Ok, bye. I see you at my next post.
Oh what an ending.
