When the weather is being a bitch and you're having a day off, what will you do?
For me, I spent hours just lazing around on my bed watching up to 7 episodes of myall time favourite reality TV series: America's Next Top Model.

Sexiness to the max can? And it's also very Angelina Jolie.

And this morning, I managed to watch a few hours of the 81st Academy Awards and it seems that Slumdog Millionaire won quite a few thropies. Soon soon, I will watch it.
********
After so long, this is the only time whereby I spent the whole day at home because usually I'm working or I will be out and about doing what I enjoy doing with people who enjoy doing the same things as me.
********
GPA is out. And I must say that it's quite satisfactory (given that I had one hell'a naughty semester filled with amaciams and you-know-i-know days)

Where do I begin actually?

1.Late for work because someone decided to die today out of all days in the calendar.

2. Sat in the bus for nearly 2 hours due to the heavy traffic (as stated above). My back was aching and my butt was sore.

3.Reached at 11.30am when supposedly scheduled at 11am. But Mark, one of the managers, was nice enough to close one eye. Since I started late, I ended late. It’s a vicious cycle altogether.
Mark: “You’re late.”
Nad: “I knowwwww.”

4.Around afternoon, Didi came over to surprise me and Yaya. Whoo hoo. At that point of time, I was doing service so I was rather free enough to smile at customers while Yaya was busy busy at the espresso machine doing latte and cappuccino and did not really notice her presence.

Didi: “Can I hug you?”
Nad: “Of Course!!!”

(And we chatted for awhile even though Mark was standing a few feet away)

5.What made my day was when I got back from work, my room was clean. Clean enough to put a smile on my face.
**************
Oh my god, it's 21st February already?
A week more till March?
I almost forget how it feels like to lepak at home on a weekend.

When I said ‘I sense fun tomorrow’ in the previous post, I was referring to the awesome time spent on Tuesday. What better way to make the best out of it, since we had the day off.

Home cooked food, a trip to Sheng Shiong for groceries shopping and cab to West Coast Park for a simple picnic. Together with the scorching sun and slight breeze, we lay everything out and began eating. I have to say this, having a picnic actually saves a lot of money (think about recession and yet-to-come-payday). Oh we even had our very own Muesli Parfait which is a recipe straight out of Coffee Bean’s kitchen. OH well, it was all worth it expect for a certain something that made us totally freaked out. No, you’ve guessed it wrong. It’s not a flasher. But it was big black bees feeding on nectar on flowers which is so near to where we were sitting.

Nisa: “Once they are full, they will go away lah”
Before they go away, we is go first can? Lol.

Right…So we packed up (still maybe food left) and headed to the playground and behaved like complete 17-going-on-18 year old idiots with the swing and spider web thingy. At least there was no one around to see our oh-so-brave attempt on an almost 3 story high structure. After the adrenaline rush, we headed to McDonalds for the much needed air-con. Over a large Ice Lemon Tea, we decided to head to IMM for some retail therapy for gossip girl has it that there was a sale going on and prices were slashed.

Nad’s: 2 pencil skirts + 1 dress + 1 belt = $43
Nisa’s: 2 pencil skirts + 1 dress + 1 belt +1 coat = $58
Yaya’s: 1 pencil skirt + 2 dresses = $36

Let’s break it down shall we.
One pencil skirt = $10 (all range, be it matte or glossy/sizes)
Belts at Bysi = 2 for $6
Dresses = Ranging from $10 to $20
Coat = Usual priced at $30 but since we bought a lot of thing, the sales girls closed one eye and sold it for $25.
Crazy is we when we is know all the pencil skirt is priced at $10.
Happitification to the maximum is we with our purchases.
And as for me, there is no longer a need to buy the skirt at Dorothy Perkins since with that amount of money, I can buy 6 pencil skirts here at IMM.
Oh the joy of bargain hunting.
Picnic again at IMM but this time with sushi bought there.
Pictures soon kays.

When life becomes as bleak as the economic slowdown,
Oh what a shame.
I need something to spice up my life.
Perhaps what's needed are like those ingredients in a Chai Latte.

I sense fun tomorrow.

The Other End Of The Line: CHECKED.
Though it was rated like 2 stars in the papers, I still find it very funny and entertaining.
There were some scenes with really amusing lines.
"Though I'm brown and drive a taxi, doesn't mean I'm Indian"
Culture, Family, Love. That's what you'll get
Hotness-O-Meter for Jesse Metcalfe : Infinite.

Slumdog Millionaire: Next

If only the pencil skirt at Dorothy Perkins were cheaper, I'd buy it.
Sadistification to the max can.

Bumped into two people today which gave me a fright while I was out today.
First was the talent scout people who came forward like we did something illegal.
Then there was Maisarah who held onto my arm and it made me went "Ahhh" in the middle of Charles and Keith. I is terperanjat can Mai. Hehehehe.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.......IT'S FRIDAY THE 13TH.
*********************
The only source of entertainment for me now that my Ipod Touch has crashed are books.
Little Black Dress series of books are very interesting to read, I swear.
I was hooked onto the first one when Nisa borrowed me hers.
It's really a page turner, and I was engrossed with it during the long bus journey to and from work.
This is the recent book that I have completed reading.
It Must be Love
Ever wanted to take the law into your own hands?

"Gabrielle Breedlove was under the impression that jogging was good for you. Had she known that going for an innocent morning run would result in her being booked for aggravated assault and leave her under suspicion for art robbery, she would have stayed in bed.
Gabrielle is the sexiest suspect that undercover cop Joe Shanahan has ever had the pleasure of tailing. But Gabrielle doesn’t quite see it the same way. And when his next assignment turns out to be posing as her boyfriend in order to catch the real art thief, things start to get complicated.
She thinks he’s stalking her. He thinks she’s a crook. Their families are picking out china patterns. Surely, it must be love? "
Last year, Nisa borrowed me these two.
Singletini

"Singletini (noun): 1. A glamorous and increasingly common kind of girl, typically found in urban setting. 2. One possessing an unusual fear of growing up and settling down.
For a girl like Victoria Hart, being a singletini means life’s a continuous party. The aim is to have fun with no thought for tomorrow. So she’s delighted when she finds a job that involves her favourite thing – becoming a wing woman, helping shy guys navigate the perilous dating scene in Chicago.
But while she’s happy with her life the way it is, her friends are moving on in the real world with jobs, houses and relationships. Hadn’t they made a pact to be footloose and fancy free with her forever? Soon Victoria begins to realise that going solo might not always be the best option.
A delicious cocktail of glamour, fun and true love, this is a sparkling romantic read that’s not to be missed. "
Simply Irresistible

"Some temptations you shouldn’t even try to resist…
When Georgeanne Howard runs away from her ageing-but-loaded fiancé, she’s rescued by a knight in a shining red Corvette – hell-raising hockey star John Kowalsky. She can’t help falling for him , but after a passionate fling John splits, leaving Georgeanne broken-hearted. Seven years later, John’s thinking about settling down when he bumps into Georgeanne – now catering queen of Seattle and single mum to a little girl. His little girl. John wants in on their life but Georgeanne’s not convinced. Should she risk her heart again? "

**************
And I'm currently reading this: Decent Exposure.
Decent Exposure

" When a nice girl asks twelve men to get naked, is it decent exposure or indecent exploitation?
Emma Tremayne has left her high-powered PR job and moved to the Lake District. She was expecting to find some much needed peace and quiet, not to end up cavorting on a hillside with a naked guy…
Emma thinks she is being community-minded when she agrees to help the local mountain rescue team put together a ‘tasteful’ nude calendar in order to fundraise for their new headquarters. Unfortunately, quite a lot of the community seems to mind what she’s up to. Including the extremely handsome Mr July, Will, who appears to have got completely the wrong impression about Emma’s intentions. So how does she convince him that he is more than just flavour of the month…?
Sassy, funny and smart, DECENT EXPOSURE is a gorgeous read from a sparkling new voice in romantic fiction. "

Little Black Dress, it's a girl thing.
Never did I thought I can find such worth-reading books in the library.

Bye Bye - Mariah Carey
It’s been a year.
It’s been 365 days.
It's been awhile since you’ve left us.
The family feels incomplete without you.
The family now has one member sort.
The room feels so empty without your presence.
You were the only grandfather I’ve loved. Since the paternal one left when I barely know how it feels to miss someone for I was less than a year old.
You’ve watched me grow up with your very eyes for I grew up in the comfort of your own home.
Your departure made my heart swell. It drove me to tears, it still do.
When you went away, you left a hole in my heart.
I’ll pray that wherever you are, you will be safe and sound.
My Al-Fatiha will always always accompany your soul.
To those of you out there, please give your grandparents a big hug. Tell them you appreciate their existence in your life. Tell them without them, there will be no you. Tell them you love them.

Hugs and Kisses.

I can still remember my first trip to the cemetery for I had to be there for you. I can still remember vividly how looked like, even when your soul is no longer inside you.
One word: Serene.
I miss you.
I still do.
**************************
"All them grown full things separation brings
You never let me know it, you never let it show
Because you loved me and obviously
There's so much more left to say
If you were with me today face to face
I never knew I could hurt like this
And everyday life goes on likeI wish I could talk to you for awhile
I wish I could find a way try not to cry
As time goes by
And soon as you reached a better place
Still I'll give the whole world to see your face
And I'm bragging next to you
It feels like you gone too soon
Now the hardest thing to do is say bye bye
And you never got the chance to see how good I've done
And you never got to see me back at number one
I wish that you were here to celebrate together
I wish that we could spend the holidays together
I remember when you used to tuck me in at night
With the teddy bear you gave me that I held so tight
I thought you were so strong that you can make it through whatever
It's so hard to accept the fact you're gone forever
I never knew I could hurt like this
And everyday life goes on like
I wish I could talk to you for awhile
I wish I could find a way try not to cry
As time goes by
And soon as you reached a better place
Still I'll give the world to see your face
And I'm bragging next to you
It feels like you gone too soon
The hardest thing to do is say bye bye"

It’s been awhile since I slept past midnight.
It’s been awhile since I woke past noon.
It’s been awhile since I had more than 9 hours of eye shut.
It’s been awhile since I was last online.
It’s been awhile since I last went to Pet Society and play with Princess.
It’s been awhile since I blog.
It’s been awhile since I do not need an alarm clock.
It’s been awhile since I had a decent meal at home.
It’s been awhile since I last catch up with my friends.
It’s been awhile since I last met my girls. MUCH MISSES IN CAPS.
It’s been awhile since I did any social activities.
It’s been awhile since I last shopped.
It’s been awhile since I last tidied up my room.
It’s been awhile since I last watched hardcore television.
It’s been awhile since I was ME.

Trust me, having a job changes who you are. Suddenly your daily routines are altered according to your schedule.

Today I served my first cup of Cappuccino. *Pats shoulder*
Americano, Macchiato, Espresso, Latte to be learned.

It seems that I'm already immune to the strong smell of coffee.
No amount of caffeine fix can ease the tireness.
Oh well, I've mastered the technique of ice blended.
But perfecting it is another issue altogether.
Oh, I really do enjoy the Southern Blend Ice Tea.

I just had a conversation with my parents.
"Now than you know how hard it is out there, just to earn a couple of bucks"
"These are just some the people you will meet."
"This is what happens when you are in the F&B industry."
"Arrogant customers are just part and parcel of it."
"The *insert race* are the worst among all."
My mum was so ridiculous.
" If we(she and dad) we to drop by, I will give you a $10 tip."
*Smack her forehead, hard*
Did I mention I'm working at Coffee Bean?

MY BIRTHDAY BOYS.

One turns 24, yet still sexy as ever.
While the other turns 8.
Geez, I only have this picture of him.
Firman Hadi, we shall take more pictures.
Btw, he's my talktative cousin.
Happy Birthday to the two of you!

While Firman shares the same birthday as Ronaldo,
which celebrity/star share the same birthday as you?
14 October belongs to Usher and myself.
Cheers to Libra.

Nadeerah, Employed.
As much as I love just lazing around at home (minus the boredom part), I need to find a purpose.
It won’t be soon before long that I see cash rolling in.
Till then, I just have to worry about not screwing up at work.
This is very important because I’m such a klutz when it comes to doing this kind of things.
Oh my God, I already have butterflies in my stomach.
Please go away, your fluttering makes me nervous.
And yes, it's been awhile since I last wore uniform.
Thus, wearing one for work really brings back memories.
But still, looking just like the people around you is kind of weird.
Wish me luck.
I’m so not looking forward for my first day at work on Wednesday.
No more late nights.
Pfft.
But at least I have a friend who will also be a colleage.
******

And yes, I have been drowning myself in this book.
Cultural misunderstanding.
People who don't get on.
Family Life.
You get the flow?
I need more library trips.
Yeah me!
