When I said ‘I sense fun tomorrow’ in the previous post, I was referring to the awesome time spent on Tuesday. What better way to make the best out of it, since we had the day off.
Home cooked food, a trip to Sheng Shiong for groceries shopping and cab to West Coast Park for a simple picnic. Together with the scorching sun and slight breeze, we lay everything out and began eating. I have to say this, having a picnic actually saves a lot of money (think about recession and yet-to-come-payday). Oh we even had our very own Muesli Parfait which is a recipe straight out of Coffee Bean’s kitchen. OH well, it was all worth it expect for a certain something that made us totally freaked out. No, you’ve guessed it wrong. It’s not a flasher. But it was big black bees feeding on nectar on flowers which is so near to where we were sitting.
Nisa: “Once they are full, they will go away lah”
Before they go away, we is go first can? Lol.
Right…So we packed up (still maybe food left) and headed to the playground and behaved like complete 17-going-on-18 year old idiots with the swing and spider web thingy. At least there was no one around to see our oh-so-brave attempt on an almost 3 story high structure. After the adrenaline rush, we headed to McDonalds for the much needed air-con. Over a large Ice Lemon Tea, we decided to head to IMM for some retail therapy for gossip girl has it that there was a sale going on and prices were slashed.
Nad’s: 2 pencil skirts + 1 dress + 1 belt = $43
Nisa’s: 2 pencil skirts + 1 dress + 1 belt +1 coat = $58
Yaya’s: 1 pencil skirt + 2 dresses = $36
Let’s break it down shall we.
One pencil skirt = $10 (all range, be it matte or glossy/sizes)
Belts at Bysi = 2 for $6
Dresses = Ranging from $10 to $20
Coat = Usual priced at $30 but since we bought a lot of thing, the sales girls closed one eye and sold it for $25.
Crazy is we when we is know all the pencil skirt is priced at $10.
Happitification to the maximum is we with our purchases.
And as for me, there is no longer a need to buy the skirt at Dorothy Perkins since with that amount of money, I can buy 6 pencil skirts here at IMM.
Oh the joy of bargain hunting.
Picnic again at IMM but this time with sushi bought there.
Pictures soon kays.
