Mission Accomplished: My room is now PINK-FIED.It all started on Saturday when I decided to get going before I’m jam packed over the next few weeks. Since I just so happened to be having the monthly discomforts and was not able to fast, I decided to paint my room. Yes, Hot Pink was the colour (according to my preference). But it was called Lollipop from ICI Dulux.
Managed to wake up earlier than my usual 11 am-ish on a Saturday morning, I started painting by 10 am and ended around 2-3 pm. Eh, that takes like a whole lots of effort okay and I was totally drained by then. My mum was sweet enough to help me out by cleaning the excessive paint that dropped on the floor. My dad, on the other hand, came in like a gazillion times just to inspect the progress of my painting. What pisses me off is that he did not even touch the rollers to help me out. But then again, he’s fasting whereas I’m not, so it’s forgiven. Oh please, I’m such an understanding daughter. The thing that I clearly remembered what my dad said.
Dad: “Bilik dah macam colour kuih lapis”
Nad: “Eh, at least it’s delicious.”
Nad: “Lawa tak colour dier?”
Mum: “Lawa. But it reminds me of a fire brigade building”
Ten minutes later.
Nad: “Colour dier lawa seh”
Mum: “Berape kali kau nak cakap? Nie dah nak masuk 10 kali!!
Right, now that the room has been pink-fied, it seems incomplete without adding a touching of pimping. Around 4pm, we decided to make our way down to IKEA for some home furnishing shopping! Oh my god, I so love it there. This is one place to be when you’re an impulse shopper just like myself. The things are so affordable, pretty and there are a lot of choices to choose from. I bought my hot pink swirl chair, flower light, vases and bed net. Bed net, you know? The one whereby it’s hanged above the bed. Catch no balls? Whatever. I’ve been wanting it since I was 11 but got it only at 17. It may look a little princess but I don’t care. It’s beautiful and I love it. I guess it’s worth the 6 years wait. Mum bought rugs, cookie jars for Hari Raya and many other stuffs which I can’t remember.
My room looks so different now. For the time being, only the light has been installed. When Hari Raya is nearing then I will furnished it with the net, vase and flowers. So stay tuned people.
LOLLIPOP!!!

I created such a mess. WHen I grow up, I definetly would not want to become a painter.

Some are hot pink while others was soft lilac. The ceiling, is the colour of Bandung.
