Today was about Gender Equality, whether it can be achieve or not in today's context.
Let me give you an overview of what my team has done.
1. Gender refers to the social roles, responsibilities, and behaviours that are believed to belong to men and women.
2. Gender equality means that women and men have equal conditions for realizing their full human rights and potential to contribute to national political, economic, social and cultural development and benefit equally from the results.
Can male and female be equal? Of course not. On has penis and the other one has vagina. How can we be equal??! But that was besides the point. I was reminded of one of the past RJ question given.
If you are given a choice, would you change your gender? Explain.
What I wrote in my RJ:-
Never ever in my entire life would I trade my stiletto heels for a pair of loafers. Period.
Here are some reasons:
~Free drinks, Free dinners, Free movies (you get the point)
~There are times when chocolate really can solve all your problems.
~We can talk to people of the opposite sex without having to picture them naked.
~If we''re dumb, some people will find it cute. ( think Paris Hilton)
~We get to wear the most gorgeous beyond words wedding gown but guy only wear boring black tuxedo.
~Our boyfriend''s clothes make us look elfin gorgeous. Guys look like complete idiots in ours.
~If we have a zit, we know how to conceal it.
If I were to go on, the list would be endless.
Hahahahahahahahaha.
I know that it is too early for me to talk about childbirth but someday I will go through it too. So here it is.
Another ultra important reason why I will change my gender is because then I can never experience the joy of childbirth. I am sure that it would be a wonderful experience to feel a life that is growing inside you for 9 months. Being able to connect with the life that is inside you and feel its every move would be a golden opportunity every women looks forward to. I have heard of motherly instincts. What about fatherly instincts? I have never heard of it before though.
Also if you''ve notice, Mother''s Day is a bigger event compared to Father''s Day. So, bigger means more present!
Benny gave me an A :)
